Welcome to the new edition of Inclusion Unfolds!
In this edition , we bring you the story of an initiative born from love, resilience, and the belief that every child deserves memories worth cherishing. This is the story of 18NotOut.
18NotOut, an initiative under the Jaiden Forever Foundation in Bangalore, carries forward the spirit of Jaiden, a child with Cerebral Palsy. When Jaiden passed away at the age of 18 in late 2023, his parents, Ligi and Sunil, decided that his story would not end there. Instead, it would continue through others, by creating lasting memories for children with special needs and their families because he passed away at age of 18, they decided to name it 18NotOut.
The initiative began in 2024 Bangalore day trip. Children and parents explored the city together, free from hesitation, supported at every step. For many, it was the first time they felt such freedom. Soon after came their next milestone the first overnight journey to Mysuru, a trip that expanded possibilities and gave families the courage to dream bigger.
Since then, 18NotOut has grown into a movement. Their annual Inclusive Independence celebration, held every August, has become event where students from special schools across Bangalore , get a platform where they perform, express themselves, and shine. Alongside curated tours and experiences, each effort is built around safety, joy, and confidence for both children and parents.
In just over a year, 18NotOut has touched the lives of more than 800 families. Every trip is thoughtfully created to create memories that last forever.
At its heart, 18NotOut is not just about travel; it’s about celebration. It’s about reminding the world that joy belongs to everyone. And as Ligi and Sunil carry forward Jaiden’s light, they carry with it a message that grows brighter with every journey:
Creating Memories Forever.
